Kultur, integrering og inkludering er et stort tema som omfatter samfunnet som en helhet. Det omfatter også mange av de ulike utfordringene vi har i vårt samfunn.

Målet vårt er å øke deltagelsen, skape bedre og mer forståelse mellom Somalisk miljøet og i det norske samfunnet, styrke integreringen og bryte ned fordommer og rasisme.

Derfor har vi SVF arrangert lørdag den 6. Juli 2019 Somalisk kultur og nasjonaldag festival på̊ kulåsparken Sarpsborg, for å ferie Somalisk nasjonaldagen, samtidig viser frem Somalisk kultur, identitet og historie. Det var også̊ en utstilling om den Somaliske kulturen og historien som ga et innblikk for de som ikke kjente til kulturen og historien vårt. Mange barn og unge har fått muligheten til å vite eller kjenne Somalisk kultur historie.

Dagens program, bestod av et følgende program som inneholdt: tradisjonelle dans, synger, taler, Somalisk historier og servering av tradisjonell mat. og ikke minst Somalisk musikk.

Vi har fått besøk en del politikker fra både Fredrikstad kommune, Sarpsborg kommune Og stortinget Og gjester fra Oslo. Antall deltakelse av arrangementet var mer enn 520 personer fra hele Østfold fylke.

Styret i SVF har igjen bevist at alt er mulig så lenge man jobber sammen mot et mål.

Tusen takk til Sarpsborg Somaliske Organisasjon og Horn of Africa’s youth for et vellykket argument og håper vi klare å gjøre dette bedre og større neste gang.
